Will you compare your sumo gear and prices to other sumo providers?
No other sumo provider even comes close to ‘bellying' up to us! There is only one other nationwide Sumo-er, and their high rental charges will surely give you a bellyache—especially for gear that is second-rate at best (old and smelly) and for service that is uncertain due to orders commonly missing gear or even arriving late. This lone national competitor usually ships the sumo gear from customer to customer several times before it is returned for inspection and cleaning—causing the doubtful arrival of smelly suits and partial gear to the customer. Sumo Nation gear returns to regional distributors after each rental, assuring the timely shipment of thoroughly disinfected, clean, and upgraded gear to your door.
 
Gear? The majority of providers offer foam filled suits—can you say sweathog? Of the few sumo rental companies who offer inflatable suits, most use flimsy suits that will not stand-up to a good bellying up as they contain an internal air pump that runs while you wrestle. Compare these designs to our high-quality lightweight suits, which are internally lined with air bladders that quickly expand and decompress from just one easily accessible opening. One last attribute of our air-filled bladders is that they provide a sumo-soft landing, even if you belly-flop!
 
Prices? Do not spend a lot of time searching for a better deal, because there are none to be found. Most regional providers charge $400 for 4 hours or $600 for 8 hours. If you find a quote from another company that rents the same units as us for a lower price, we will not match    it - we will beat it!
 
What are your hidden costs ( i.e., shipping charges, sales taxes, processing, and transaction fees)?
Unlike our competitors—whether they are up front with it or not--there are no additional charges for shipping. We will pay UPS™ to ship all of the sumo gear to your doorstep, arrange for UPS™ to pick up the gear after your hilarious wrestling fun, and pay UPS™ to return the gear back to us. As for sales taxes and other fees that you will unknowingly be charged by other sumo providers, Sumo Nation simply charges none...zip, nil, nada, nothing! The total rental cost for all of the sumo gear listed on our home page is $375, period.
 
Just how long can our group or organization keep the sumo gear?
The standard rental period allows at least three days of sumo wrestling. Your sumo gear will arrive 1 to 3 days before your scheduled event, and the day after your three full days of sumo amusement, we will have UPS™ pick up the gear. For example, if you plan a weekend sumo tourney, the sumo gear will arrive no later than Thursday for Sumo-ing on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with pickup scheduled for Monday or Tuesday. Need another day? Inform us in time to alert UPS™ and your sumo pleasures can be extended for a mere $50 a day. Need additional suits to keep the matches moving swiftly? We will ship two extra suits and accessories for just $250! Ask us about our back-to-back weekend specials.
 
It is February 25th. When is it best to order the sumo gear for my August 7th birthday party?
While we have a large supply of sumo wrestling gear, we suggest that you book your event at your earliest convenience. This will not just reserve your gear, but assure everyone they will have an opportunity to knock you on your birthday a-s-s-u-m-o!
 
My son is 5' 2” and 100 pounds, while his twin sister is 6' 8” and 290 pounds. Can they still participate?
Yes! Our sumo wrestling suits are one size fits most. We do suggest that kids be at least 9 years old and weigh 90 pounds, while of course being matched with an opponent comparable in size.
 
I Live in hawaii and want to rent the sumo gear using a credit card. Is this possible?

When our sumo suits arrive, how do we proceed, and what do we do to return the sumo gear?
Suggestion: When unpacking your sumo suits, make a mental note as to how we placed the contents in the shipping container. We include detailed instructions on how to wear the suits and how to set up your sumo event. After the event, just put the sumo gear back in the shipping container and on the scheduled pickup day, UPS™ will bring a return shipping label to your door and place it on the container. That's it!
